The product

The challenge.

Parents and teachers compare activities by location, age, dates and availability. Providers publish those activities, explain the booking terms and manage the people attending.

This team project includes supplied designs and collaborative revisions. The flows cover discovery and Express Booking for families, alongside activity creation, business profiles, listing states and a provider dashboard.

The journey at a glance

  1. Find an activity by location, age or date
  2. Review the activity and provider
  3. Choose available spaces
  4. Add family details and review payment options
  5. Complete the booking or join the waiting list

Design approach

How the design works.

  1. Put practical choices beside the activity

Search and activity details bring age range, location and dates into the decision. These determine whether a session fits the family’s plans.

Provider information and booking terms sit alongside the activity. The page connects the appealing part of the offer with the details needed to choose a suitable booking.

  2. Make the booking route a provider choice

The listing flow separates category, location, age range and booking method. Providers can use the platform’s booking route or direct customers to their own website.

The setup screen makes these routes explicit. It gives the provider a choice about where booking takes place, with a different next destination for the parent.

  3. Cover the states after discovery

The designs include full and partial payment, family information and waiting lists. The provider side distinguishes active, unfinished and snoozed listings.

These states address different tasks: finishing setup, managing visibility, paying for a place or waiting for one. Each needs an appropriate action beyond the initial search.

Reflection

The design takeaway.

Next, follow one family booking and its provider record together to check that spaces, payment and confirmation remain consistent.
