The product

The challenge.

Renting clothing involves more than choosing a style. A customer needs the right size, a suitable rental period and an understanding of the costs and return arrangements.

The design connects browsing with the work behind a rental listing: descriptions, photographs, pricing, availability and checkout. Large product imagery leads discovery, with practical details alongside it.

The journey at a glance

  1. Discover an item
  2. Review size and price
  3. Choose rental details
  4. Arrange delivery
  5. Return the item

Design approach

How the design works.

  1. Make the rental offer visible while browsing

Homepage cards pair large photographs and designer names with rental rates and retail prices. This presents the rental offer at the point where people compare products.

Filters cover category, designer, size, colour and price. Customers can narrow the collection around a fit requirement, a budget or a preferred designer.

  2. Separate product preparation from rental pricing

Listing creation has distinct description, pricing and availability steps. Product preparation covers photographs and fit notes; pricing handles rental periods and related charges.

The pricing design provides fields for delivery, cleaning and a deposit alongside rental rates. It gives these different charges a defined place in the listing setup.

  3. Connect a product with stock in each size

Availability is organised by size, with stock and available or unavailable states. A listing can represent the difference between a style being offered and a particular size being available.

Wishlist, delivery-address, payment and listing-management screens connect the gallery with the rest of the rental journey. Customer choices and the information maintained by the seller belong to the same experience.

Reflection

The design takeaway.

The next check is price comprehension: can a renter distinguish the rental charge, additional costs and any refundable amount before committing?
